Junior Mechanical Project Manager | M&E Building Services | Southampton Area | £45,000 £55,000 + Car or Car Allowance + Bonus This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Junior Mechanical Project Manager to join a respected M&E Building Services contractor delivering mechanical installations across a wide range of commercial, healthcare, education, and industrial projects. Based just west of Southampton, the company has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality mechanical building services installations. Their project portfolio includes mechanical packages such as plantrooms, heating and chilled water systems, ventilation, pipework, public health systems, and HVAC installations across both public and private sector developments. With a strong pipeline of work and continued business growth, they are now seeking to appoint a Junior Mechanical Project Manager who is keen to accelerate their development within a structured but hands-on project delivery environment. The Role Salary is negotiable depending on experience within the advertised range. As Junior Mechanical Project Manager you will support experienced Project Managers and Contracts Managers in the delivery of mechanical building services projects from pre-construction through to completion. The role offers excellent exposure to the full project lifecycle including procurement, installation, commissioning, and handover, providing an excellent platform for someone looking to progress into a fully-fledged Mechanical Project Manager position. You will initially assist with the delivery of projects while gradually taking responsibility for smaller mechanical installations as your experience develops. Projects range from smaller mechanical packages through to larger multi-million pound mechanical building services installations across the South Coast and surrounding areas. This is a hands-on role that will involve significant time on site working closely with engineers, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure mechanical installations are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with project programmes. Key Responsibilities • Supporting Project Managers and Contracts Managers in the delivery of mechanical building services projects, • Assisting with procurement of mechanical plant, materials, and subcontract packages, • Coordinating site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure works are delivered in line with programme requirements, • Supporting project planning, coordination, and site progress reporting, • Assisting with the preparation and coordination of technical submissions and project documentation, • Attending site meetings and maintaining strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors, • Supporting the commercial team with variations, valuations, and project cost reporting, • Ensuring mechanical works are delivered safely and in line with health and safety requirementsAbout You, • Experience working within the Mechanical Building Services sector for an M&E contractor or mechanical contractor, • Experience working on mechanical installations such as HVAC systems, heating systems, chilled water systems, ventilation, pipework, plantrooms, and public health systems, • Previous experience in a supervisory, site management, or junior project management role within mechanical building services, • Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to work closely with site teams and project stakeholders, • Keen to learn and develop within a growing mechanical contractor environment, • £45,000 £55,000, • Company Car or Car Allowance, • Company Bonus, • Company Laptop and Mobile, • Pension JBRP1_UKTJ
