Role Responsibilities Delivery Excellence & Project Ownership: • Deliver 3–4 retained searches at any time with minimal oversight, demonstrating full lifecycle ownership., • Independently manage client reporting, candidate communications, and internal team coordination., • Consistently produce high-quality documentation (pitches, updates, shortlist reports) that meet or exceed Partner expectations., • Apply a commercial and strategic mindset to understand client business objectives and translate them into effective search strategies., • Demonstrate excellent research and analytical capabilities by mapping markets, conducting competitive analysis, and assessing leadership talent. Client Engagement & Influence: • Co-lead client briefings and update calls with increasing independence over time and with experience., • Build strong working relationships with key client stakeholders and become a visible, reliable point of contact and be viewed as a key advisor. Candidate Market Knowledge: • Build and maintain a high-quality network of senior candidates, including ongoing engagement and advisory relationships., • Deliver 2–3 high-quality market maps and competitor intelligence briefs annually. Business Development Foundations: • Help identify and qualify new business opportunities or leads (warm intros, referrals, pitch-ready contacts)., • Actively support Partners/Principals on live pitches, adding measurable value through market insight and proposal development. Internal Contribution & Mentorship: • Mentor Research Associates providing feedback and delivery support., • Contribute to knowledge-sharing sessions, tools improvement, or training initiatives within the team. Senior Client Ownership & Advisory: • Transition into a client lead role, independently managing key accounts and full project portfolios., • Develop a reputation as a trusted advisor among C-level clients and Boards within a chosen market., • Lead complex searches with minimal or no Partner involvement, including retained mandates across geographies or functions. Business Development Leadership: • Originate and win new retained assignments through proactive relationship development and thought leadership., • Build a strong pipeline of repeat clients and cross-sell opportunities in collaboration with leadership. Sector Expertise & Thought Leadership: • Publish or present industry insights, reports, or opinion pieces that drive visibility and client engagement., • Lead internal IP development (e.g., talent frameworks, succession models, DEI strategies) that enhance firm offerings. Team Leadership & Development: • Act as a people manager, supporting the performance development and career growth of junior team members., • Drive operational improvements or strategic initiatives, such as new tools, training programs, or diversity efforts. Progression to Principal / Partner Track: • Demonstrate consistent revenue contribution and client retention to be considered for promotion to Principal or Partner level., • Shape firm strategy through participation in leadership meetings, innovation task forces, or cross-functional initiatives., • Build and champion a personal brand aligned with the firm’s reputation and future growth vision. With a solid grounding in executive search or a related discipline, you’re ready to deepen your influence by leading engagements, advising stakeholders, and contributing to business development. You’ll play a key role in cultivating new business opportunities and expanding client relationships.
