We are seeking a skilled Panel Wirer to join our team. As a Panel Wirer, you will be responsible for assembling and wiring electrical control panels according to specifications. This is a hands-on role that requires knowledge of electrical systems, as well as proficiency in using various hand and power tools.\n\nTHE ROLE:\n\n * Read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams\n\n * Assemble electrical control panels by mounting components onto backplates or enclosures\n\n * Wire control panels by routing, cutting, stripping, and terminating wires\n\n * Install and connect electrical components such as relays, switches, circuit breakers, and terminal blocks\n\n * Test completed panels for functionality and troubleshoot any issues\n\n * Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations\n\n * Maintain a clean and organized work area\n\nTHE CANDIDATE:\n\n * Previous experience in panel wiring or a related field\n\n * Knowledge of electrical systems\n\n * Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment necessary for panel wiring\n\n * Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately\n\n * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics\n\n * Basic mechanical knowledge for mounting components\n\n * Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot electrical issues\n\n * Good communication skills to collaborate with team members\n\nTHE SALARY & BENEFITS\n\n * £16.00 per hour\n\n * Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 16:30 & 12:30 finish on a Friday\n\n * Free car parking, local bus and train routes\n\n * Temporary position lasting a minimum of 6 weeks (possibility of a longer term contract)\n\n * Weekly pay, every Friday.\n\n * Immediate starts available\n\nCogent Staffing is an equal opportunities recruiter, and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified applicants, regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation, or age
