Job Title: Registered Manager \nLocation: Specialist Supported Living Service, Exeter\nSalary: £30,000 – £42,000 per annum\n\nAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Registered Manager to lead a specialist supported living service providing bespoke, independence focused accommodation for adults with learning disabilities, autism, and epilepsy.\n\nThis is a highly rewarding leadership role within a thoughtfully designed environment that promotes choice, dignity, and independence. The service consists of self-contained living spaces, each offering private bedrooms, en-suite facilities, and kitchenette areas, supporting individuals to live as independently as possible within a safe and structured setting. Communal areas and access to outdoor space, including private and shared garden areas, further enhance quality of life and wellbeing.\n\nThe setting has been carefully developed to provide a warm, homely atmosphere while ensuring that residents receive the right level of support within a therapeutic and enabling environment. Individuals supported at the service are subject to DoLS authorisations, and despite complex needs, are encouraged and supported to lead active, meaningful, and fulfilling lives.\n\nThe Role \nThe Registered Manager will take overall responsibility for the operational and clinical leadership of the service, ensuring high standards of care, compliance, and person-centred practice are consistently delivered.\n\nKey responsibilities include:\n\nLeading the service to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality support delivery \nCreating and sustaining a positive culture that promotes independence, choice, and participation \nManaging and developing a skilled and compassionate staff team \nEnsuring full compliance with regulatory requirements and safeguarding standards \nOverseeing care planning, risk assessments, and DoLS processes \nDriving continuous improvement and maintaining high-quality outcomes for residents \nManaging staffing, recruitment, rotas, and performance effectively \nBuilding strong relationships with families, professionals, and external agencies\n\nAbout the Candidate \nThe successful candidate will be an experienced care professional with a strong background in supported living or similar settings, ideally with experience supporting individuals with autism, epilepsy, and learning disabilities.\n\nThey will demonstrate:\n\nPrevious experience as a Registered Manager or in a senior leadership role \nA strong understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding, and DoLS \nA Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or equivalent qualification) \nThe ability to lead, inspire, and develop a committed staff team \nA person-centred approach with a passion for promoting independence and quality of life \nExcellent communication, organisational, and decision-making skills \nA calm, resilient, and solution-focused leadership style\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\nCompetitive salary between £30,000 and £42,000 per annum \nOpportunity to lead a well-established, specialist service \nSupportive working environment with a focus on training and development \nThe chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people supported\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Registered Manager looking to lead a service where independence, dignity, and personalised support are truly at the heart of everything delivered.\n\nFor more information or a confidentail chat, please contact Fiona on (phone number removed) or email (url removed)
