Key responsibilities: Governance • Ensuring the OSGUK Board is fully aware of their obligations, operate within regulatory frameworks, and conduct well-governed and effective meetings., • Lead and continuously strengthen the school’s governance framework, ensuring clarity of roles, responsibilities, and decision-making across the board and committees., • Develop and maintain the school’s risk management framework, ensuring that key strategic, operational, financial, and safeguarding risks are identified, assessed, and effectively mitigated., • Produce and maintain the school’s Risk Register and ensure regular review by leadership and governors., • Oversee compliance with statutory, regulatory, and accreditation requirements including (but not limited to) safeguarding, data protection, health & safety, and charity law,, • Lead internal compliance audits and coordinate responses to external inspections and regulatory reviews (e.g. DfE, ISI, Ofsted, HSE, Charity Commission),, • Develop and maintain a policy management framework ensuring all policies are current, compliant, and effectively implemented.
