ITSM Configuration Management Specialist Whitehall Resources are looking for an ITSM Configuration Management Specialist. This is a hybrid working role with 2-3 days per week onsite in Cambridge, and the rest remote working, for an initial 6 month contract. Job Description: We are looking for a proactive, adaptable, and dedicated individual to join our team of IT Service Management Professionals within the Value Delivery Office. You will be responsible for supporting the ITSM Configuration Management process. This includes both day-to-day operational activities and the strategic development of roadmaps to introduce new functionality and continuous improvements. Responsibilities: • Support the design, implementation, and governance of Configuration processes related to the transition of new or modified services into production., • Develop and maintain configuration process documentation, training materials., • Integrate the CMDB with other ITSM processes and tools to improve overall service management capabilities., • Support EUC and Infrastructure/Networks teams on life cycle management tasks ensuring the CMDB consumes current and accurate information., • Support BAU CMDB tasks such as De-dupe Reviews, Requests, Data Certification. investigation of stale CI's., • Engage with Service Owners to map and build Services using ITOM Discovery., • Support Configuration Management Board and Drop-in sessions, • Ensure data sources are operating as expected., • Fix ITOM Discovery issues (Patterns, Schedules and Credentials)., • 12+ years of hands-on experience in ITSM processes., • 7+ years of consistent track record implementing ITSM Configuration Management Process and maintaining CMDB in large organisations., • ITIL 4 Managing Professional or Strategic Leader certification preferred., • Experience as a ServiceNow CMDB Consultant or similar role in designing and implementing Configuration Management capabilities., • Experience with ServiceNow platform and CMDB module and integration with third-party tools and systems., • Ability to execute process governance, reporting, and compliance., • General conceptual understanding of IT infrastructure and applications, project management, and SDLC., • Knowledge of TVM to support IT security on CMDB/Vulnerability activities., • Previous exposure to ITOM Discovery and Service Mapping.
