Vacancy - Electrical Technician All potential candidates should read through the following details of this job with care before making an application. Are you an experienced and qualified Electrical Engineer looking to develop your experience in a technician role and beyond? Do you have experience in an industrial environment working with heavy plant and equipment? We are seeking a Electrical Technician to work within Mersey Engineering. Your Role In this role you will work with the Infrastructure engineering team, to deliver on-time delivery, continuous flow, customer satisfaction and zero defects, across a day's role, carrying out maintenance on heavy plant and equipment. You will complete planned and reactive maintenance activities and carry out modifications to all types of heavy plant and equipment, liaising with operations to prioritise breakdown repairs, using fault finding diagnostic techniques and equipment to reduce the impact of reactive maintenance. You will assist the team when required in a range of activities, including project work, QA systems and Health and Safety. It's vital that all activities are documented and carried out with due care and attention in line with our Health and Safety policy and HSE regulations. This role is classified as safety critical. Your duties in this role may include driving on site; working at height and/or in confined spaces; operating/driving plant; manual handling; lone working; night work. If successful in your application, you will be required to attend a pre-placement medical assessment to confirm your fitness for work in this role. What you'll bring You will be qualified to a minimum of ONC/HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering with experience of working with heavy plant and equipment in an industrial environment. You will also have: • A working knowledge of Programmable Logical Control or drive control systems and HV networks would also be desired.
