Role: Multi Trader \n Location:Bromley and surrounding areas \n Salary: Up to £40,660 per annum + Company Van & Fuel Card \n Role Summary \n We are currently seeking an experienced Multi Trader to join a well-established maintenance team, carrying out reactive and planned repairs within occupied social housing properties across Bromley and the surrounding areas. \n The ideal candidate will be a skilled carpenter and plasterer multi trader, with strong experience carrying out general maintenance and repairs within domestic properties. This is a varied role where you'll be responsible for completing high-quality repairs and making-good works, helping to ensure residents' homes are safe, well-maintained and kept to a high standard. \n The role is field-based, covering Bromley and nearby areas, so you'll need to be comfortable travelling between properties throughout the working day. \n The Role \n As a Multi Trader, you'll be responsible for carrying out a wide range of reactive repairs and maintenance works within occupied and void social housing properties. \n Typical duties will include: \n\n • Carrying out carpentry and joinery repairs\n, • Repairing and replacing doors, frames, skirting boards and architraves\n, • Completing first and second-fix carpentry works\n, • Carrying out patch plastering and making-good works\n, • Repairing damaged walls and ceilings\n, • Plaster boarding and carrying out general plaster repairs\n, • Completing painting and decorating following repair works\n, • Carrying out minor plumbing repairs where required\n, • Completing minor tiling and general maintenance works\n, • Repairing and replacing fixtures, fittings and ironmongery\n, • Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently\n, • Carrying out a range of responsive repairs within residents' homes\n, • Completing general multi-trade maintenance works as required\n, • Maintaining excellent customer service when working in residents' properties\n, • Using a PDA or job management system to receive and update works completed\n\n What We're Looking For \n We're looking for an experienced Multi Trader who has a strong background in carpentry and plastering and is confident carrying out a range of general maintenance repairs. \n You will have: \n\n • Strong carpentry and joinery skills\n, • Strong plastering and making-good skills\n, • Previous experience working within social housing, maintenance or repairs environments\n, • Experience carrying out reactive repairs within occupied properties\n, • Good general multi-trade maintenance knowledge\n, • The ability to work independently and manage your own workload\n, • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail\n, • A professional and customer-focused approach when dealing with residents\n, • Good time management and the ability to prioritise workloads\n, • A flexible approach and willingness to undertake a variety of maintenance tasks\n\n Essential Requirements \n\n • Full UK Driving Licence\n, • Proven experience as a Multi Trader, with strong carpentry and plastering skills\n, • Experience working within domestic or social housing properties\n, • Ability to travel across Bromley and surrounding areas\n, • Comfortable using handheld devices or PDAs\n, • Eligible to work in the UK (proof required)\n, • DBS check, or willingness to undertake one if required\n\n Benefits \n\n • Salary up to £40,660 per annum depending on experience\n, • Company van & fuel card\n, • Consistent, long-term work\n, • Supportive and established maintenance team\n, • Varied workload across residential properties\n, • Opportunities for training and career development\n, • Stable, permanent position with ongoing work\n, • Holiday entitlement and company benefits package\n\n If you're an experienced Carpenter/Plasterer Multi Trader looking for a long-term opportunity where your skills will make a real difference to residents' homes, we'd love to hear from you. \n For more information or to apply, please contact Sommer on .
