Why this role matters In Network Operations we manage, monitor and maintain BT’s UK Network, as well as the Cloud, IT & Infrastructure units which fall into our remit, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This includes our UK transmission networks, our UK core IP networks that serve our customers who use Broadband, Ethernet, Mobile as well as BT’s Legacy portfolio of PSTN, Private Circuits and ISDN30. We manage BTs internet peering connections and services, Europe’s largest Wi-Fi network, the power and environmental services at all of our exchanges, as well as all of the internal IP networks serving BT staff and buildings around the globe. Furthermore, we have a dedicated Cyber Security team who are encountering a significant number of cyber-attacks per day, as well as a newly formed Network Cloud team, virtualising our data centres to support ever-changing and expanding technologies. They are undertaking an exciting mortgage transformation project looking at reviewing and enhancing their entire customer journey from product / proposition inception through to completion. This role will be an integral part of that project team; the lead Subject Matter Expert on the Mortgage Product & Proposition workstream. Working closely with the Head of Mortgage Strategy and Programme colleagues, you will identify, design, and implement new mortgage product and service propositions to enter new national markets as well as core local members, aiming to be ‘better and different’ than other national lender offerings. Under the two acts, public record bodies are required to transfer public records to The National Archives after twenty years, unless specific exemptions are applied and approved. Transfer Advisers are responsible for the operational end-to-end process of transferring records from public record bodies and/or their third party suppliers to The National Archives. This role is central to the delivery of expert advice and guidance covering record transfer and related standards; whilst ensuring that departments understand and implement required procedures for transfer and that the records they send are suitably catalogued and prepared for transfer. We are looking for individuals who are highly committed to delivering a professional service within the public sector and who are looking for a fast pace, high intensity work environment. This work requires exceptional attention to detail, resilience and a high degree of interpersonal skills in working with departmental contacts. This ensures that the integrity of records are maintained and managed during the transfer process and that statutory transfer responsibilities are met in accordance with the Public Record Act 1958 and the twenty year rule.
