Coach Development Officer - Leicestershire & Rutland County FA • Salary: Starting from £26,000 per annum, • Contract: Permanent, 35 hours per week (some evening and weekend work required) This full-time permanent role will play a vital part in growing and supporting the coaching workforce across Leicestershire and Rutland. By working with England Football Accredited Clubs, Coaching Leads, and community partners, the appointed individual will ensure that every coach has access to meaningful learning, mentoring, and development opportunities that create positive experiences for every player. Key Responsibilities The Coach Development Officer will lead the growth and sustainability of high-quality coaching and coach development opportunities across the county. Responsibilities include: • Delivering Coach Developer Training and mentoring for Club Coaching Leads, • Recruiting, managing and supporting a diverse team of Casual Coach Developers, • Coordinating and delivering a County-wide Coach Development Programme that supports coaches at all levels of the game, • Building strong relationships with clubs, leagues, schools, local authorities and FA Regional staff to grow and sustain a representative coaching workforce, • Significant coach development experience, ideally in grassroots football, • Project management skills, with the ability to plan, set and meet objectives to deadlines Leicestershire & Rutland County FA received the Employee Wellbeing & Engagement Award at the 2024 County FA Recognition Awards and has been shortlisted again for the 2025 Awards, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to creating a supportive and positive workplace.
