About the Role The HR Co‑Ordinator plays a critical role in supporting the smooth, compliant, and effective operation of the Human Resources function at Mettis. Acting as a central point of coordination for our HRIS system (Dayforce), employee lifecycle administration, the role is key to delivering an excellent employee experience across the business. The postholder will be on site and be the key user and administrator of the Dayforce HRIS, ensuring data accuracy, system integrity, and effective use of HR technology to support operational and strategic HR activity. This is a hands‑on, detail‑driven role requiring organisation, technical capability, and a people‑focused approach. The successful candidate will be comfortable working at pace in a manufacturing environment, able to manage confidential information with discretion, and eager to develop within the HR profession. As a condition of employment, successful candidates are required to satisfy ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) compliance and must fulfil the following before commencing this role: i. Currently hold the legal Right to Work in the UK ii. Fulfil a DBS clearance iii. Provide a consistent 5‑year UK domicile iv. Pass Drugs & Alcohol screening at the start of their Mettis employment Responsibilities HRIS Administration & Data Integrity • Act as the primary administrator for the Dayforce HRIS, maintaining accurate employee records, organisational structures, and workflows, • Process employee lifecycle changes including new starters, promotions, transfers, contractual changes, and leavers, • Maintain data accuracy through routine audits, checks, and governance controls, • Identify opportunities to improve and streamline HR processes through effective use of HRIS functionality, • Support system configuration changes, upgrades, testing, and new module rollouts, • Produce and maintain HR dashboards, reports, and workforce metrics, • Provide insights on headcount, turnover, absence, and compliance metrics, • Prepare contracts of employment, offer letters, and onboarding documentation, • Coordinate onboarding activities to ensure a smooth and positive new‑starter experience, • Support offboarding processes, ensuring accurate documentation and system updates, • Manage HR inboxes and respond promptly to employee and manager queries, • Provide day‑to‑day guidance to employees and managers on HR systems and self‑service tools, • Develop and maintain user guidance and supporting materials, • Ensure HR processes and HRIS data comply with GDPR, data protection legislation, and internal policies, • Support internal and external audits through provision of accurate data and documentation, • Maintain up‑to‑date SOPs, process documentation, and workflows, • Maintain absence records and support return‑to‑work processes, • Administer employee benefits enrolment, changes, and queries, • Liaise with benefits providers (e.g. pension providers), • Support HR projects such as engagement surveys, audits, and policy updates, • Assist with cyclical HR activities including performance reviews and pay reviews, • Maintain HR calendars and ensure key people processes are delivered on time, • Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes and systems Required skills • Experience in an HR administration, HR coordination, or People Operations role, • Hands‑on experience using an HRIS, • Deep understanding of employee lifecycle processes, • Experience handling sensitive and confidential information in line with GDPR, • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy, • Organisational and time‑management skills, • Clear, professional written and verbal communication, • Technically literate with confidence using Microsoft Office and HR systems, • Ability to troubleshoot basic system or process issues and escalate appropriately, • Customer‑focused approach when supporting employees and managers, • Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset, • Ability to work collaboratively across HR, Payroll, IT, and Operations, • Exposure to HRIS configuration, system testing, or enhancements, • Experience supporting employee relations processes, • Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or multi‑site environment Job Type: Full‑time, Permanent Location: Redditch, Worcestershire (on site, 5 days p/w) Working pattern: Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 16:30 & Friday: 07:30 – 12:30 Benefits • Pension: 3% Employer & 5% Employee contribution, • 33 days holiday including 8 statutory Bank Holidays p/a, • Employee benefits, rewards, and wellbeing platform (Perkbox), • Free on‑site parking, • Cycle to work scheme, • Bereavement leave, • Company events, • Employee referral programme, • Sick pay This job description is not exhaustive and may be reviewed periodically in agreement with the job holder.
