Nursery Teacher - June Start (Maternity Cover) Location: Southfields, SW19 Contract: Full-time (Monday to Friday) Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience) A welcoming and well-established mainstream primary school in Southfields is seeking an experienced Nursery Teacher to join their Early Years team on a full-time maternity cover basis from June. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a strong Early Years setting, where there is a clear focus on play-based learning, early development, and creating a nurturing environment for young learners. The school has a supportive leadership team and a collaborative EYFS unit, making it an excellent place to work and develop professionally. The School Offers: A well-resourced and structured Nursery setting Supportive and experienced Senior Leadership Team Strong teamwork within the Early Years phase Clear routines and established planning frameworks A positive and inclusive school environment The Role Will Involve: Full classroom responsibilities including planning, assessment, and reporting Delivering engaging, play-based learning in line with the EYFS framework Supporting pupils' communication, language, and social development Creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing learning environment Working closely with support staff and parents to support pupil progress The Ideal Candidate Will: Hold QTS and have proven experience teaching within Early Years (essential) Be available to work full-time (Monday to Friday) Demonstrate strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum Be nurturing, proactive, and confident in managing a Nursery class Have a clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection proceduresPlease note: Only candidates with prior teaching experience within Early Years and full-time availability will be considered for this role.
