Assistant Engineering Manager – Building Services Burton upon Trent / Nottingham £59,000 + Excellent Benefits Monday-Friday | Days (7:30am-4:00pm) We're recruiting for an experienced Assistant Engineering Manager – Building Services to oversee the day-to-day operation across two large, highly automated industrial sites located between Burton upon Trent and Nottingham. About You We're looking for someone who has worked their way up through engineering, rather than coming from a purely facilities management or office-based background. Essential experience: Minimum 3 years' Building Services management experience within a large manufacturing, industrial, production, distribution or automated environment Hands-on engineering background with progression into leadership Strong technical knowledge of: • HVAC, • Legionella control, • Asbestos management, • Building compliance, • Site services and utilities, • Experience managing engineers and external contractors, • Strong understanding of planned and reactive maintenance Qualifications You'll hold a minimum NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline such as: Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering HVAC Plumbing Building Services Engineering Carpentry & Joinery (Building Maintenance) HNC, HND or Degree qualifications are advantageous.
