Operations Supervisor Hempsted based Covering all 5 HRCs within Gloucestershire Salary per annum, £34,434 35,412 Per Annum + 5% Shift allowance Full time, permanent, 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 10 hours per day, annualised hours Ubico is looking a motivated Operations Supervisor to join our team and oversee the day-to-day running of our operational workforce. This role covers a wide range of frontline services including waste management, household recycling centres, health & safety, and compliance. As an Operations Supervisor, youll play a vital role in supporting staff, ensuring services are delivered efficiently and safely, and stepping in with a hands-on approach when needed. About the Role As an Operations Supervisor, youll be responsible for: Oversee and resource daily operational services to ensure tasks are completed on time. Manage and support teams, including authorising timesheets and monitoring absence. Lead on health & safety, risk assessments, and safe working practices. Provide training for staff on equipment and operational procedures. Investigate incidents, complaints, and service breakdowns, taking corrective action quickly. Ensure effective communication across teams and with the Operations Manager. Support with stock control, admin, and compliance duties. Work flexibly across sites, including weekends/Bank holidays and out-of-hours standby (with additional pay). Were seeking someone with: Full UK driving licence (up to 3.5 tonnes). GCSEs (Maths & English or equivalent). Experience of managing a team and working in an operational or office environment. Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills. Confident with IT systems, including MS Office. Ability to work outdoors in all weather, take initiative, and remain calm under pressure. Flexible to work shifts (including weekends and standby rota). Desirable (but not essential): Driver CPC / CPC management qualification. COTC holder. Degree in waste management or environmental studies. LGV Class 2 licence. IOSH Health & Safety certification. Special Conditions There may be a requirement to work at other locations to meet the needs of the business. Expected to work reasonable additional hours in line with the needs of the service.
