This is a high-impact, high-visibility role, working for the VP of Strategy & Finance. The ASE region represents Entain's must-win high-growth markets, including brands such as Bwin, SportingBet, Sports Interaction and PartyCasino. You will own commercial finance in this >£700M region across multiple countries and brands. Key activities: • Own the quarterly forecasting & annual budgeting process for our multiple markets, • Analyse business performance and identify key trends / opportunities, • Business partnering on key analyses to support day-to-day decision making The previous holder of this role did not have a direct report but was supported by the general finance function. We intend to supplement this new hire with a junior analyst beneath them. We are looking for someone who is experienced in owning complex forecast models; ideally for B2C digital / subscription businesses. And with strong soft & stakeholder management skills as you will be liaising with senior function leadership across our organisation. Qualifications • Strong undergraduate degree, • 9+ years’ experience in commercial finance (Investment banking, Big 4 modelling, Corporate commercial finance / FP&A functions), • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deal with ambiguity / imperfect data, • Proficiency in Excel & data analysis, • Proficiency in business writing and verbal communications, including delivery of presentations to executive business leaders, • Strong interest in the betting, games, media, technology, and entertainment industries Additional Information Benefits At Entain, we know that signing top players requires a great startingpackage,and plenty of support to inspire peak performance. The role operates as a direct report to the Senior Production Scientists and liaising with the Technical Production Scientist and Technical Specialist within the Life Sciences team. Accountabilities & Responsibilities • Direct Production activities in a Life Sciences environment, • Attain competency under a continuing professional development process, • Undertake investigation of anomalous results under analytical quality control procedures, • Support implementation of new equipment/improved techniques from own team., • Support ongoing workloads and projects within Scientific Services, • Best practice integration and continuous improvement, • Initiate equipment maintenance and repair, • Essential communication, influencing and interpersonal skills within team, • IT and LIMS skills, • Understanding of Health and Safety., • Financial awareness Technical Skills, Qualifications & Experience • Scientifically adept with recent practical laboratory skills, • Demonstration of Competent person status, including fully compliant CPD., • Proficient analyst status in a variety of analytical techniques within the team covering a minimum of 3 methods, • Good understanding of ISO 17025, ISO 5667 and all other related regulatory requirements, • Minimum of 3 years laboratory experience, • NVQ/QCF Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant Biology/scientific discipline in line with entry to Membership of a relevant scientific professional body such as the Royal Society of Biology Important Information This role requires regular weekend working (1 in 4 weekends) and standby cover on a rota basis once fully trained.
