About the role We are looking for a skilled and motivated Workshop Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with hands-on engineering experience who thrives in a collaborative workshop environment and is eager to contribute to innovative projects. Some of the key duties include: Confidently remove and install mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Fault find and repair low-voltage PLC-based control and safety systems. Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems. Assist with loading, unloading, and deliveries to site as a second person. Wash, strip, prepare, paint, and reassemble equipment. Maintain a clean and organised workshop, yard, and building. Support general building maintenance tasks. Collaborate with the stores person to organise stock and parts. Additional job information: Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 17:00 (40 hours) What we need from you A valid UK driving licence. Proven engineering experience across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Practical knowledge of PLC control systems. A hands-on, proactive approach to workshop tasks. Willingness to travel to site using a pool vehicle when required. Must be commutable to Waltham Abbey.
