As part of the Digital Workplace Services Team within the CIO function, you will help shape the future of how we work by driving innovation and excellence in M365 capabilities. Working closely with our internal teams and partners at Microsoft, you will lead the early adoption of new features and ensure that our technical implementations meet the highest standards of security, compliance, and performance. From day one, you’ll be deeply engaged in projects that transform the way people work. You’ll analyze challenges, design solutions, and implement best practices for M365 services such as Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, OneDrive, and Intune. You’ll also play a critical role in governance and security, ensuring that identity and access management, compliance, and data protection are embedded into everything we deliver. Beyond implementation, you’ll mentor and guide colleagues across the organization, sharing your expertise and helping others grow. As an M365 Collaboration Senior Engineer at Kyndryl, you won’t just maintain systems—you’ll build them, improve them, and make them smarter. You’ll work on projects from start to finish, providing analysis, creating documentation, and delivering solutions that make a real impact. You’ll be involved early in the process, helping to decide what’s possible, identifying risks, and shaping technical strategies. This is a hands-on role where your ability to understand how systems interact with their environment will be invaluable. Key Responsibilities: Technical Engineering • Collaborate with the Head of M365 Collaboration Engineering to define, prioritize, and maintain the M365 collaboration capabilities., • Implement business requirements into scalable, innovative M365 solutions aligned with enterprise platform architecture., • Serve as the technical lead in this team for M365-related projects and configurations., • Design, with the wider CIO team, end-to-end technical solutions to enhance all aspects of the Employee Experience while optimising the service delivered by this team., • Oversee configuration, integration, and development activities ensuring adherence to enterprise architectural and security standards., • Work closely across the DWS team (operations and engineering) to enable agile sprint delivery/execution across an ongoing programme of work focused on true digital transformation., • Evaluate emerging M365 features and technologies, identifying opportunities for early adoption and innovation., • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance platform performance, user experience, and operational efficiency., • Manage lifecycle of M365 components, including updates, deprecations, and transitions. Platform Enablement & Adoption • Support change management and user adoption strategies in partnership with internal communications and training teams., • Partner with Microsoft and internal stakeholders to guide the early adoption of new M365 capabilities and ensure alignment with best practices Governance & Stakeholder Engagement • Act as the key M365 technical liaison at this level., • Ensure compliance with CIO architecture, data privacy, security, and development standards., • Contribute to enterprise-wide governance bodies, design reviews, and platform health initiatives. Key Skills & Experience: • 3+ years of M365 experience at this senior level, with at least 6 years in M365 engineering role., • Deep expertise of M365 collaboration tools (SharePoint, Teams, Exchange, Viva etc)., • Proven experience implementing enterprise-scale M365 solutions within a global environment., • Strong understanding of agile delivery practices., • Ability to think creatively when defining what world-class excellence looks like (with regard to the entire end-to-end offering)., • Extensive hands-on experience with Teams, EXO, SharePoint and data loss, classification etc., • Experience of IDAM and Intune (desirable). Certifications: • Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert (highly desirable), • Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate (desirable), • Microsoft 365 Certified: Collaboration Communications Systems Engineer (desirable), • Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (desirable), • Microsoft 365 Certified: Azure Fundamentals (desirable), • Agile/SAFe certifications e.g., Scrum Product Owner (a plus) Being You Diversity is a whole lot more than what we look like or where we come from, it’s how we think and who we are.
