The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, demonstrating proficiency with various materials and techniques. This role is essential for producing high-quality components and structures, ensuring that all work meets safety standards and specifications. Duties Perform welding operations using techniques such as stick welding and MIG welding on various materials, including sheet metal. Fabricate components according to engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality. Assemble parts and structures using hand tools and power tools, maintaining a high level of craftsmanship. Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to improve processes and resolve any fabrication issues that may arise. Requirements Proven experience in welding and fabrication, with a strong understanding of mechanical knowledge. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools effectively. Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately. Strong attention to detail, ensuring precision in all work performed. A commitment to maintaining safety standards within the workplace.
