EV Transition Manager Location: Manchester (with travel to Widnes Fleet Depot and Watford Head Office) Contract: Permanent, Full‑Time Creating and maintaining great places to live and work delivered by excellent people who care… About the Role As the EV Transition Manager, you will lead the strategic and operational delivery of our organisation’s transition from a traditional ICE fleet to a fully electric vehicle (EV) fleet. This is a high‑impact role within our Facilities Management business, ensuring our fleet modernisation programme aligns with sustainability goals, operational requirements, and commercial priorities. Based in Manchester, you will work closely with our central Fleet Depot in Widnes and collaborate regularly with senior stakeholders at our Head Office in Watford. Key Responsibilities Fleet Electrification Strategy & Delivery • Lead the end‑to‑end transition plan for the company’s fleet to move to EVs., • Develop and manage the roadmap for vehicle replacement, charging infrastructure deployment, and driver readiness., • Conduct feasibility assessments, risk analysis, and TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) modelling. Stakeholder & Supplier Management • Work with vehicle manufacturers, leasing partners, and charging infrastructure suppliers., • Engage with internal stakeholders including Fleet, Operations, Finance, and Sustainability teams., • Present progress updates, business cases, and investment proposals to senior leadership. Charging Infrastructure Implementation • Coordinate installation of workplace, depot, and home‑based charging solutions., • Manage site readiness assessments and liaison with DNOs (Distribution Network Operators)., • Ensure compliance with safety, energy management, and regulatory requirements. Operational Excellence • Oversee vehicle rollout schedules, driver handovers, and training programmes., • Develop and maintain policies for EV usage, charging behaviour, maintenance, and incident management., • Monitor fleet performance, utilisation, and charging efficiency using telematics and analytics tools. Compliance, ESG & Reporting • Ensure the EV programme supports the organisation’s Net Zero and sustainability commitments., • Track key metrics on emissions, cost savings, and efficiency improvements., • Produce regular reports and dashboards for executive review. Skills & Experience Required • Proven experience in fleet management, EV transition, or transport transformation., • Understanding of EV technologies, charging infrastructure, and fleet operations., • Strong project or programme management capabilities., • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills., • Ability to analyse data, build commercial models, and support investment decisions., • Knowledge of energy management, infrastructure deployment, or FM environments is desirable.
