About the Speech and Language Therapist Role: As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will assess, plan, and deliver structured interventions to support pupils with communication and language needs. You will operate with clear frameworks, maintain firm boundaries, and ensure consistent, outcome-driven delivery across individual and small-group sessions. Key Responsibilities as a Speech and Language Therapist: Assessment & Planning: Conduct structured assessments and develop targeted intervention plans. Intervention Delivery: Deliver focused sessions to improve speech, language, and communication skills. Communication Development: Apply direct strategies to build clarity, understanding, and engagement. Progress Monitoring: Track progress, analyse outcomes, and maintain accurate records. Professional Coordination: Work efficiently with SEN staff, teachers, and external professionals.To succeed as a Speech and Language Therapist, you will need: Relevant qualifications in speech and language therapy or a related field. A strong presence with clear, direct communication. Confidence applying structured interventions in educational settings. An organised, analytical, and outcome-focused approach. Experience within SEN, SEMH, or similar environments (desirable). An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply through Reeson Education.
