Flexible People Ltd are currently recruiting 7.5t Home delivery drivers for a well known client of ours, based in Rochester. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a multi-national organization, with the potential for growth and opportunities. This role involves working with a Drivers Mate to deliver large goods to residential properties. The type of goods you will be delivering are sofa's, beds, flat pack furniture, gym equipment, white goods etc. Due to the weight of the products and the amount of drops you are delivering you MUST be physically fit. The company offer the customer a 'room of choice' delivery, you will be fully trained on how to do this. Upon successful application, all new drivers are subject to a driving assessment and multiple choice highway code/tacho exam. This will then be followed the next day with a subsequent induction day. The company operate 7 days a week, you will be offered a 5 or 6 day rota. Weekend work will be involved. You can pick one of the following rotas - Sunday to Thursday Saturday to Wednesday Friday to Monday Shift timings are 06.00 start, shifts last roughly 9-11 hours. Pay rate - £17.96 per hour. There is an overtime rate of £22.19 per hour. After 13 weeks, you can be offered a contract directly with the company. Ideal but not essential; relevant qualifications or certifications in traffic management (e.g. Lantra certifications) or a degree in Logistics, Transportation Engineering or related field.
