Temporary Head / Sous Chef – Staff Canteen Cover Location: Rochester Rate: £18.00 – £22.00 per hour We are currently recruiting for an experienced Head Chef or Sous Chef to provide temporary cover within a busy staff restaurant / canteen environment in Rochester. This is a short-term assignment supporting the kitchen team and helping ensure smooth service within a high-volume catering operation. Dates: 16th – 20th March (Potentially more shifts for the right candidate) Hours: 06:30 – 15:30 Key Responsibilities: • Supporting the day-to-day running of a busy kitchen, • Food preparation and cooking for staff restaurant service, • Working alongside the existing kitchen team during service, • Maintaining high food quality and hygiene standards, • Ensuring the kitchen remains clean, organised, and compliant with food safety procedures Requirements: • Previous experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef, • Experience working in a busy kitchen or contract catering environment, • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume service, • DBS check required, • Background checks required, • Must provide and wear chef whites Additional Information: • On-site changing area available, • Lockable cupboard provided for personal belongings If you are an experienced chef available for the above dates and looking for temporary work, please contact Chloe (phone number removed) / Email (url removed)
