Allocations Officer\n\nExeter \n\nFull time, Temporary\n\nHybrid - 40% office, 60% home working\n\nWe are currently recruiting for a Social housing organisation based in Exeter who are looking for an Allocations Officer to join their team on a temporary basis.\n\nResponsibilities of the Allocations Officer include:\n\nEnsure that eligible applicants as defined by the current legislation and the Council's Allocations Policy are admitted onto the Housing Register.\nAnswer queries from customers, stakeholders, support workers, Councillors, MPs and other agencies regarding the housing register and the allocations policy.\nAssess and prioritise applications for Council and Housing Association properties, through the allocations scheme, within agreed timescales and in line with the Allocations policy\nAssess Health and Wellbeing applications and participate in multi-agency assessment panels to award banding, prioritise applications for adapted properties.\nCollate weekly adverts for available properties ensuring the information is clear and accessible for applicants.\nFull job description available upon requestThe successful candidate will have:\n\nExperience working within the social housing sector.\nHave up to date knowledge of housing and homeless legislation and guidance.\nKnowledge of Microsoft packages.\nA qualification in housing (desirable).If you believe that you are well-suited to the role of Allocations Officer, please apply.
