SHEQ Advisor \n \n Location: Eastleigh, Hampshire \n Salary: Up to £40k depending on candidate experience (+ company car/van) \n Type: Permanent, Full-Time, Hybrid \n Hours: 45hr week, 7.30am – 5.30pm (3 days onsite, 2 wfh) \n \n Project Partners are now recruiting for a SHEQ Advisor to come and join an established team in Eastleigh, Hampshire. Are you a SHEQ Advisor ready for change and a new challenge? \n \n Purpose of role: \n The SHEQ Advisor will be responsible for providing support and advice on all aspects of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality, meeting legal, regulatory and company standards and helping deliver a culture of continual improvement. \n SHEQ Advisors are responsible for providing assurance on site and supporting the SHEQ Lead to deliver SHEQ objectives for the business. \n \n Responsibilities: \n\n • Produce reports on work/projects/activities carried out.\n, • Keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of legislation and any developments that affect the industry.\n, • Act as a role model at all times in support of the company’s vision, priorities and values.\n, • Deliver learning bulletins, toolbox talks and safety alerts about SHEQ issues.\n, • Carry out D&A testing as required (training provided).\n, • Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with procedures, laws and guidance.\n, • Support incident investigations, analysing root causes, and support corrective action plans to prevent reoccurrence.\n, • Report incidents in line with Company and Client requirements.\n, • Provide SHEQ Inductions.\n, • Attend company and client SHEQ meetings, as required.\n, • Support the continuous development and implementation of management systems.\n, • Review risk assessments, safe systems of work, construction phase health, safety and environmental management plans. Recommend mitigation strategies.\n, • Identify training needs and escalating to the compliance manager, where appropriate.\n, • Take part in employee meetings for SHEQ.\n, • Actively participate in stand down events.\n\n \n Candidate Requirements: \n \n\n • Proven experience in utilities or construction.\n, • Knowledge of relevant SHEQ regulations, standards and best practice.\n, • Demonstrate a genuine passion for safety, health, environmental and quality with a commitment to ongoing personal and professional development in this field.\n, • Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive and motivating personality.\n, • Excellent Microsoft Office Package (Word, Excel, Etc)\n, • Strong communication skills to engage with diverse teams and stakeholders.\n, • Ability to travel to operational sites in the Southeast, although nationwide travel may be required intermittently.\n, • Ability to provide out of hours on call support (as required).\n, • NEBOSH General or Construction (essential)\n, • UK Driving Licence (essential)\n, • ISO Internal Auditor Training (desirable)\n\n
