You’ll work closely with management and operational teams to minimise risk, improve standards, and ensure environmental compliance at all times. Key Responsibilities • Lead and maintain the company’s Health & Safety Management System, • Maintain and develop ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems, • Ensure compliance with COMAH, DSEAR, ATEX and environmental legislation, • Conduct and review site risk assessments and internal audits, • Develop and update EHS policies and procedures, • Deliver and coordinate H&S training, inductions and refresher programmes, • Investigate accidents/incidents and liaise with regulatory authorities when required, • Manage emergency preparedness and contractor safety processes, • Support and coach managers and employees to improve site safety performance, • Manage environmental monitoring, reporting and waste compliance, • Liaise with the Environment Agency and other governing bodies, • Maintain records relating to chemicals, PPE, fire safety and training, • Mentor and develop the EHS OfficerWhat We’re Looking For, • NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma (essential), • Experience within a manufacturing environment, • Strong understanding of UK Health, Safety & Environmental legislation, • Working knowledge of COMAH, DSEAR and ATEX regulations, • Experience in contractor management, risk assessments and emergency planning, • Excellent communication and organisational skills, • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities, • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications, • Degree in Health & Safety or related discipline desirableWorking Hours, • 40 hours per week
