About the Role: This post will holistically plan, co-ordinate and deliver engaging online training sessions to apprentices based in the education and early years sectors from level 2-5. Knowledge and experience will be shared with apprentices to motivate and inspire them and to support them to develop their knowledge, skills and behaviours. The role will involve working closely with the curriculum manager to ensure that the highest quality training is delivered. Job responsibilities Training: • Deliver outstanding online training sessions to apprentices on early years and teaching assistant apprenticeships, from level 2-5, • Prepare for sessions to ensure training is individualised and meets the needs of each apprentice attending, • Deliver engaging and interactive learning sessions for apprentices, • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all apprentices including those with ALS, • Provide a positive, supportive and inclusive learning environment for apprentices, • Promote positive behaviour and ensure the code of conduct is followed by apprentices during sessions, including use of cameras, active listening, engagement and respecting others, • Identify learner starting points and tailor sessions to apprentice needs, providing additional stretch and challenge where required, • Provide a collaborative learning environment by encouraging active participation and discussion., • Support the wider learning of apprentices through embedding of English, maths, safeguarding, prevent and British values into sessions, • Provide apprentices with the virtual classroom feedback survey at the end of all sessions and encourage honest and constructive feedback, • Deliver career information, advice, guidance and welfare sessions to learners as part of the BPN Boost programme, • Provide robust feedback to apprenticeship tutors following virtual classroom sessions to support learning to be followed up and extended, • Work closely with the curriculum manager to ensure teaching resources are kept up to date and to support with development of resources, e.g. pre-recorded sessions, • Keep up to date with the latest information and requirements and support with updating course materials, • Maintain regular communication with the curriculum administrator to ensure any challenges are dealt with quickly, • Maintain records of attendance for each virtual classroom, working closely with the curriculum administrator to support attendance monitoring, • Manage own diary effectively, communicating with the curriculum manager and curriculum administrator to ensure all planned sessions go ahead, • Any other duties connected with the post as are reasonably required from time to time, • Attend Best Practice Network's conferences and events as required (Bristol or Road show), • Equality & Diversity - support and promote equality and diversity at Best Practice Network to ensure equality of opportunity for all learners, visitors and staff and the elimination of discriminatory practices The success of Best Practice Network rests on a very strongly felt and shared set of values which determine its strategic direction.
