Salary: £40,000 - £42,000 per annum, OTE of £50,000 - £55,000 Contract: Full time, Permanent - 40 Hours per Week Benefits: Company Van, Laptop, 24 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays! We are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join a well-established engineering organisation specialising in specialist vehicles and equipment used in municipal services, infrastructure maintenance, aviation support, and environmental operations. This is a customer-facing, hands-on role where you will carry out service, maintenance, and repair work on a diverse range of high-value equipment in the field. You will play a key part in delivering an excellent service experience to customers while working independently and as part of a wider service team. As our Field Service Engineer you will be responsible for: • Carrying out maintenance, servicing, and repairs on specialist equipment including compact and truck-mounted road sweepers, spreaders, airport support equipment, and mowing machinery., • Delivering a high-quality, professional service to customers, maintaining strong working relationships., • Completing warranty repairs and ensure all associated paperwork is accurate and submitted on time., • Accurately completing job sheets, additional work authorisations, parts requests, and warranty documentation., • Coordinating daily activities with the Service Desk, reporting movements to maximise efficiency., • Ordering parts promptly and accurately via the Service Desk., • Carrying out courtesy visits to customers when required., • Participating in an out-of-hours call-out rota., • Heavy Plant Engineering, • LGV or Automotive Engineering, • Internal combustion engines, • Hydraulic systems, • Experience repairing and maintaining high-value capital equipment., • Ability to work independently, manage workload, and meet deadlines., • A customer-focused mindset with excellent communication skills., • Willingness to travel extensively in the UK and occasionally overseas., • Clean UK driving licence (HGV licence advantageous)., • A varied and technically challenging role working with specialist equipment., • Extensive autonomy and responsibility., • Ongoing training and development., • A supportive service team environment.
