Fire Installation & Commissioning Engineer Package £38,000 - £42,000 per annum + Overtime and Expenses Location Oxfordshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, London We are seeking an experienced Fire Installation & Commissioning Engineer to install, test, commission and hand over fire alarm, detection, emergency lighting and associated fire-protection systems across commercial, industrial and residential properties. Key Responsibilities • Install conventional and addressable fire alarm, detection, emergency lighting and associated fire-protection systems., • Commission, test and fault-find systems in accordance with relevant British Standards and company procedures., • Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and wiring diagrams., • Complete commissioning certificates, test records, service reports and handover documentation., • Configure cause-and-effect programming where required., • Diagnose and resolve on-site technical issues efficiently., • Commission integrated fire and life-safety systems., • Liaise with clients, site managers, subcontractors and internal teams., • Provide customers with guidance on the operation of installed systems., • Maintain high standards of health, safety, quality and compliance. About You • Proven experience installing and commissioning fire alarm and associated fire-protection systems., • Experience working with conventional and addressable fire alarm systems., • Good working knowledge of BS 5839, BS 5266 and applicable fire-safety regulations., • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills., • Experience with a range of fire alarm panels and equipment manufacturers., • Good understanding of electrical systems and site-based installation practices., • Strong communication and customer-service skills., • Able to work independently and as part of a project team., • Full UK driving licence., • Willing to travel nationwide as required. Desirable • Skilled Worker CSCS or ECS card., • FIA Level 3 training., • FIA Emergency Lighting training., • Manufacturer-specific training., • IPAF or PASMA certification., • Experience working on construction and refurbishment projects., • Experience commissioning integrated fire and life-safety systems.
