Where will you be working? At M Group Telecom, were enabling and enhancing telecom networks, playing a lead role in the delivery of our tech enabled future. We deliver full network cycle services for fixed, private and mobile operators. This role will be within our Fixed networks team, youll join our people who support providing turnkey solutions for the surveying, designing, building and commissioning new networks, while supporting the repair, maintenance and operation of existing networks. Want to come and be a part of it? What will you be doing? A role is now open for a Field Supervisor within the Telecoms Division at M Group Ltd. The position is set within a busy and growing fibre network environment. The work is centred on the delivery of safe and steady site activity. The role also involves guidance for field teams and support for ongoing fibre projects linked to the Openreach network. The post is suited to a person with strong fibre knowledge. Civil experience is also welcomed. Expertise in the Openreach network is seen as essential. The role is placed at the heart of day-to-day field operations. Site progress is checked at frequent intervals. Safety standards are upheld across each location. Work quality is monitored in line with client expectations. Field activity is reviewed in a calm and measured way. Any issues that appear on site are handled through clear and simple steps. Communication with teams is carried out in a steady and respectful manner. All findings are shared with clarity to ensure that each site remains safe, compliant, and ready for further activity. Support for fibre crews is provided through regular presence in the field. Practical guidance is offered on methods that align with Openreach standards. Records are kept in a clear and organised form. Time on site is directed toward the improvement of safe work habits and consistent output. Progress against plans is checked without delay. Any need for change is raised in good time so that safe and smooth delivery is maintained. A strong understanding of fibre networks is required for this post. Knowledge of fibre routing, splicing, testing, and fault resolution is expected. Familiarity with typical fibre build challenges is important. Experience with civil elements such as ducting, reinstatement, or excavation is valued as an added strength. A deep understanding of Openreach processes, systems, and standards is required, as this will support confident decision-making in the field. Candidates who hold strong fibre experience, good awareness of civil works, and extensive knowledge of the Openreach network are invited to express interest in this position. You will be able to explain your findings in simple language that allows others to understand what needs attention and why. Your background may also include experience in civil work. If you have worked with ducts, chambers, or reinstatement, this will help you understand how fibre build and civil activity must align.
