The Maintenance Manager will form a crucial part of the leadership team at our incinerator site in Leeds. Working closely with the Plant Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the successful day-to-day management of the site maintenance and engineering team, ensuring optimum levels of performance are achieved and sustained to minimise equipment downtime. Reporting to the Facility Manager your role will focus on overseeing the effective use of preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance on site equipment, ensuring the buildings and facilities are maintained to the highest standards, whilst effectively managing and promoting a positive team working culture, Specifically, this will involve: • Hiring, training, performance and development of Maintenance Engineers at site., • Troubleshooting, repairs and replacement of site equipment including: Pneumatics, air compressor, solenoid valve replacement, 2-way and 3-way valve, hydraulic systems, Steam and boiler system., • Fluid maintenance, including filter change out, hydraulic pump replacement and valve stack repair., • Implementing improvement plans and inspections., • Repairs of electrical systems including replacement of components and wiring, motors, thermocouples, limit switches and other areas as necessary., • Promoting health, safety and environmental policies and requirements., • Managing operational budgetary objectives., • Liaising with external vendors for maintenance parts, equipment purchase and services. This is a hands-on management role, ideally suited to an experienced Maintenance Manager/Engineering Supervisor who is familiar with managing all aspects of site maintenance, and team management, preferably from an allied process plant background and who can demonstrate: • Strong communication skills and a positive outlook with the ability to work independently., • A good level of IT/PC Literacy, especially in relation to Microsoft Office. packages/applications., • Ability to present ideas and information in a clear, concise, organized, and diplomatic manner., • A technical qualification, ideally HNC/degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering., • Strong organisational and multi-task abilities., • COSHH or IOSH is advantageous.
