Technical Manager (Electrical Bias) Cambridge Up to £60,000 per year Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences Site Monday–Friday (40 hours per week) Technical Manager – Pharmaceutical Site – Cambridge – Up to £60,000 We are recruiting for an experienced Technical Manager (Electrical Bias) to oversee engineering and maintenance operations on a high-profile pharmaceutical / life sciences site in Cambridge. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong electrically qualified leader to step into a client-facing role within a regulated environment, managing compliance, engineering delivery, and site performance. The Role – Technical Manager As the Technical Manager, you will take responsibility for the safe and compliant delivery of all electrical and building services maintenance across the site. You will lead a team of engineers while acting as the key technical point of contact for the client. Key Responsibilities: • Manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance, • Lead and supervise electrical and multi-skilled engineers, • Ensure full compliance with statutory regulations (HTM, GMP, H&S), • Oversee LV systems, switchgear, UPS, generators and critical plant, • Manage subcontractors and specialist contractors, • Ensure completion of EICRs, emergency lighting and compliance documentation, • Support audits within a regulated pharmaceutical environment, • Deliver technical reporting and KPI performance, • Drive continuous improvement across engineering services Requirements – Technical Manager (Electrical Bias) To be successful in this role, you should have: • Strong electrical background (essential), • NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Electrical Installation or equivalent, • 18th Edition (essential), • Previous experience as a Technical Manager, Engineering Manager, Maintenance Manager or Lead Engineer, • Experience within pharmaceutical, life sciences, manufacturing, data centre or critical environments (desirable), • Strong understanding of compliance and safe systems of work, • Experience managing engineers and subcontractors, • Client-facing experience Desirable Experience • HV/LV Authorised Person (AP), • Experience working within GMP environments, • Facilities Management (FM) background, • Experience on critical sites Salary & Benefits • Up to £60,000 per annum, • 25 days holiday + bank holidays, • Pension scheme, • Career progression within a leading FM provider, • Training & development support Why Apply?
