\n Traffic Maintenance Supervisor\n \n Job Description\n Do you enjoy working with a down to earth, supportive team but at the same time be relied on to use your own initiative to find solutions to problem out in the field? Our Field teams are critical in the delivery of our contracts, whether that is delivering or supervising maintenance, installation, cabling or civils works. Help build and keep the nation's critical infrastructure connected and protected 24/7. \n Reporting into the Regional Manager, the Traffic Maintenance Supervisor will take on the responsibility for leading the field teams delivering our maintenance contracts. \n This role require travel in the Newcastle and surrounding areas on a daily basis. \n What youll do: \n \n • Lead a small team of Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineers\n, • Manage controller builds and liaising with engineering team on configurations\n, • Responsible for implementing and maintaining Imtrac spare parts/repairs, including financial targets and aiding contract managers in rolling out to big yellow locations\n, • Responsible for implementing and maintaining test rigs\n, • Technical lead in the depo, coordinating new technologies before they go to street\n, • Supporting Contract Managers in assessing Engineers progressing to Senior Engineer and Seniors Engineers to Support Engineer\n, • Provide support to the Contract Managers to ensure that the contracts are delivering on time and within budget\n, • Working alone and with colleagues to the highest standards to maintain signals equipment\n, • To reduce the overall fault rates within our traffic signals maintenance contracts\n, • Supporting Contract Managers to ensure engineers have correct stock on vans to complete first time fix\n, • Electrical Engineering experience is essential\n, • Extensive knowledge around traffic signal equipment specifications is highly desirable\n, • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to act under pressure and provide good customer satisfaction.\n, • Qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Highways Electrical, City & Guilds diploma (or HNC/HND) in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or BS 7671 / 18th Edition are highly desirable.\n, • NRSWA Certification\n, • ECS Card\n, • Full driving license\n, • Company Vehicle\n, • 34 days holiday, including public holidays, plus the option to buy or sell days annually OR 26 days holiday, plus public holidays, and the option to buy or sell days annually\n, • Company pension scheme\n, • A range of family friendly policies\n, • Occupational health support and wellbeing Portal\n #TJ-Hybird \n #LI-Hybrid \n \n \n About Us\n About Telent \n Telent is a leading technology company and specialist in the design, build, support and maintenance, drawing on decades of experience in mission critical communications and technology. of the UKs critical digital infrastructure.
