Your Role\n We are seeking a proactive Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee the maintenance of five commercial buildings, all conveniently located within a five-minute walk of each other in the heart of Manchester. If you are a qualified Electrical or Mechanical Technician with a passion for delivering exceptional service, we want to hear from you! Key Responsibilities\n\n • Lead and coordinate a team to efficiently complete planned and reactive maintenance tasks, ensuring all client issues are resolved within agreed SLAs.\n, • Support the Site Supervisor in daily contract delivery and act as their deputy during absences.\n, • Maintain up-to-date statutory documentation and logbooks for inspections and audits.\n, • Manage contractors on-site through a Permit to Work scheme.\n, • Monitor plant performance using BMS and CAFM systems.\n, • Ensure adherence to engineering standards in line with the Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA).\n, • Oversee incident management and emergency response procedures.\n, • Maintain accurate shift logs, technical reports, and operational documentation.\n, • Support energy efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.\n, • Ensure quality assurance procedures are followed for all electrical and mechanical systems.\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\n, • NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Discipline.\n, • Recognized Electrical or Mechanical apprenticeship.\n, • IOSH Working or Managing Safely certification.\n, • 18th Edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations.\n, • City & Guilds 2391 – Inspection and Testing (desirable).\n, • Legionella Awareness Responsible Person certification (desirable).\n, • Knowledge of statutory compliance in water hygiene, pressure systems, and HVAC.\n, • Experience with building services PPM schedules and SFG20.\n, • Competent in Electrical and Mechanical Systems, Building Management Systems, and more.\n, • A client-facing commercial FM background.\nWhy Join Us?\n We believe in rewarding our team members with a comprehensive benefits package: \n\n • Competitive salary up to £48,500, plus overtime.\n, • 25 days of holiday plus public holidays.\n, • Pension plan with a leading provider and employer contributions.\n, • Sick pay and personal wellbeing days.\n, • Private medical insurance.\n, • Access to a 24/7 Employee Assistance Program for mental health support.\n, • Flexible benefits including dental insurance, gym memberships, and more.\n, • Personal development programs to help you grow.\nNext Steps\n We are committed to building a culture of inclusion and respect.
