We pride ourselves on quality craftsmanship, innovation, and delivering finished vehicles that meet high standards of safety, durability and customer satisfaction. ___ Role Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Hydraulic Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fitting, assembling, testing and commissioning hydraulic systems on our enclosed car transporters and other bespoke commercial vehicles. You will work closely with our design and assembly teams to ensure all hydraulic installations are completed to specification, safely, and on schedule. Key Responsibilities • Assemble and install hydraulic systems, components, cylinders, valves, pumps and other hydraulic parts according to engineering drawings and design specifications., • Manufacture hydraulic pipework and custom hose assemblies as required (bending rigid tubes, hose assembly, fitting)., • Carry out pressure testing, flushing, rig testing and commissioning of hydraulic systems to ensure they meet performance and safety standards., • Diagnose and fault-find hydraulic / electro-hydraulic issues, repair or replace faulty components, and ensure systems operate correctly and reliably., • Interpret technical drawings, hydraulic schematics and engineering documentation correctly to ensure proper installation and compliance., • Maintain clean and safe working practices, comply with health & safety procedures and company quality standards (e.g. QHSE procedures)., • Proven experience as a Hydraulic Fitter or similar role — ideally within automotive, commercial vehicle build, or industrial hydraulics/plant environment., • Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems and components (pumps, cylinders, valves, hoses, pipework)., • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, hydraulic schematics and technical documentation., • Competence in manufacturing hydraulic pipework / hose assemblies, bending, and using hand and power tools required for hydraulic installation and maintenance., • Experience in pressure testing, commissioning, fault-finding and repair of hydraulic or electro-hydraulic systems., • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship — ensuring installations are safe, reliable and meet company standards., • Willingness to adopt flexibility: ability to work on different vehicle types, bespoke builds, and occasional modifications as projects demand., • Good communication skills and ability to work within a team, coordinate with design/manufacturing colleagues., • The opportunity to work with a reputable, established company with decades of experience building custom commercial vehicles., • Hands-on, varied work on bespoke vehicle builds — no two days are the same., • A supportive environment where quality, safety and craftsmanship are valued., • Potential for professional development and training on advanced hydraulic and vehicle build systems., • Bonus scheme
