The Role: This is a full-time permanent role of 35 hours per week, which is Monday to Thursday from 8:30am to 4:30pm and on a Friday, it's 8:30am to 1:30pm. We all finish at lunchtime on a Friday, it's one of our employee benefits. Our head office is based at Panorama Business Village, Queenslie, Glasgow, though you will be out and about as part of your role for networking and meeting customers. What you will be doing: You will be responsible for identifying new business leads and opportunities, winning new business and generating the sales to drive revenue, nurturing customer relationships and managing a variety of our existing customer accounts to ensure long-term customer satisfaction and growth. This is a stand-alone Sales role, reporting to our Managing Director. You will be a key player in helping the company achieve its strategic and financial goals. You will get the opportunity to engage with a wide range of our customers across different industries in Scotland. Plus, you will be working alongside a great team (we really are). You will be responsible and accountable for: Sales & Business Development • B2B/Direct business: Identifying leads and pursuing new sales opportunities, for example, networking, market research and tendering, • Preparing and collaborating with our technical team on quotation gathering and preparation especially when it is a bespoke design project, • Collaborating with others and prepare a variety of quotations for service and install projects, • Following up with customers on quotations sent within agreed timeframes, • Ensuring that all sales activities and engagement with customers is taken to close out stage, • Using our CRM to capture and track all elements and activity of the sales lead generation, scoping and costing before handing over to our Operations team for delivery, • Delivering and presenting to customers with the technical team or on your own when needed to promote our services and our business offering, • Responding promptly to sales calls, leads and activity to ensure great customer experience Account Management • Building and developing strong and trusted relationships with any new, existing and historic customers, • Conducting regular account reviews to seek upselling or cross-selling opportunities Collaboration & Reporting • Engaging and working in partnership with our Technical, Finance and Operations teams to ensure project and work scoped is correct for customer, financial and delivery success, • Providing regular reports and forecasts to our Senior Leadership team on pipeline of work to help with resourcing and financial goals, • Attending weekly and ad-hoc Sales meetings in line with business and individual goals What we are looking for from you: • Previous and a proven experience in sales, account management and business development are essential with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively, • Technical knowledge or experience in the industry is welcomed, though not essential. It’s important for us to recruit the right person and in return, we will ensure you get the technical knowledge you require to fulfil your role, • Strong relationship building and customer facing abilities, • Comfortable working in a sales driven environment, • Competent IT skills for updating activity on our systems particularly in using MS Office, • Full driving licence We are also looking for someone who is: • Commercially and financially aware to ensure that our sales forecasting meets the revenue target for the business and our customers’ requirements, • A strategic thinker, can think out of the box and can adapt to situations and circumstances with ease, • An excellent communicator to build relationships and collaborate or network with colleagues, our suppliers and our customers, • A role model for B-DACS, both internally and externally, • Highly organised, excellent time management, and can successfully plan and deliver work to meet goals and sometimes tight deadlines for self, colleagues and the business, • Diligent, has great attention to detail when collating quotations and in updating our systems, • Positive in outlook, is resilient, with a proactive mindset when things don’t always go to plan, • Continually seeks to improve and is comfortable in putting forward new ideas or suggestions to help us be more effective and efficient, • Of a curious mind to assist with problem solving or issues as and when they arise, • Willing to continually deliver consistent high levels of work and customer service, • A team player, is supportive and willing to help others whenever it is needed Our Core Values: • Integrity - do the right thing, • Respect - treat others how you wish to be treated, • Innovation - thinking outside the box, • People - we behave as one team, • Service - get it right first time Salary: Salary of up to £40,000 (depending on experience) plus a performance related bonus and the option of a car or mileage allowance.
