Lewis Davey are excited to be working with a leading sustainability consultancy in seeking a Sustainability Consultant at the Associate or Principal level with a strong focus on energy to join their team in either the Bournemouth or Reading office. This opportunity sits within a dynamic, multidisciplinary sustainability group known for its industry-leading work in sustainable design, construction, and building operation. The team provides strategic sustainability consultancy across a wide range of sectors and is deeply engaged in driving best practices for sustainable development. Key Responsibilities: • Lead delivery on large-scale sustainability and energy-focused projects for high-profile clients., • Manage project resources, prioritise team tasks, and coordinate effectively with wider project leads., • Mentor and support the development of junior team members., • Oversee and review work produced by colleagues, ensuring high standards and accuracy., • Prepare fee proposals, manage budgets, and support invoicing processes., • Conduct and lead client and design team workshops, clearly communicating technical information and strategies., • Deliver and oversee technical modelling and analysis such as:, • Embodied carbon calculations, • Circular economy opportunities, • Building performance simulations, • Operational energy assessments, • On-site energy generation evaluations, • Overheating and thermal comfort risk assessments, • Develop and deliver integrated sustainability and energy strategies from early design through completion., • Manage environmental assessments such as BREEAM, WELL, HQM, etc., • Champion net zero and whole life carbon approaches across project portfolios. The successful candidate will bring a combination of technical expertise, practical consultancy experience, and a passion for advancing sustainability in the built environment. Ideally, they will have: • Strong knowledge in areas such as:, • Energy strategy development, • Building Regulations compliance (e.g. PassivHaus, Part L using IES or Elmhurst), • In-use energy assessment, • Overheating and thermal modelling, • Net zero carbon planning, • Supporting planning submissions, • A degree in a relevant sustainability or engineering discipline., • Proven experience in the built environment sector, ideally within a sustainability or engineering consultancy setting., • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach., • A drive to make a measurable difference through sustainable solutions.
