My global client based in Leeds has an urgent requirement for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join on a 12 month rolling contract basis. ROLE: - Working in heavily regulated industry - medical devices - so all activities must be compliant with standards. Working with Service Now, picking up and resolving end user requests related only to manufacturing and lab type applications. These are typically installing software, trouble shooting application and communication issues. Resolution could include liaising with application technical support and or internal infrastructure support services. The focus is on the quality of the work - and not the volume. Here's something you don't see every day: a junior developer role that isn't a glorified internship. We're Soar Tech. We build cloud-based banking software for credit unions and community lenders across the UK. Credit unions are community-owned financial organisations that exist to help their members rather than make money for shareholders. Our platform is the technology that helps them do that. We're a small team in Scotland, and we don't have the luxury of specialising. That means no graduate programme, no six months of watching other people code, no being the person who gets the tickets nobody else wants. You'd be writing production code from your first week, and the things you build would be used by real people in real communities. If that sounds terrifying, that's normal. If it also sounds exciting, you might be exactly who we're looking for. What you'd actually be doing The same things everyone else does. On any given day that might look like: • Building features in Node.js and React/Next.js, • Writing and debugging MongoDB queries, • Helping figure out why something isn't working on AWS, • Picking up a client support query and working through it, • Asking a lot of questions (seriously, this is encouraged), • Using Claude Code to build things faster than you thought possible, then learning to spot when it's confidently wrong We won't throw you in the deep end without support. About the business division The Water Utilities Division is Mott MacDonald's centre of excellence for responding to the UK and Ireland's water and wastewater challenges. Overview of the role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a chartered Principal Civil Engineer to join our multidisciplinary Water Division - Mott MacDonald's centre of excellence for all aspects of water engineering. Our teams deliver an extensive portfolio of projects, including water and wastewater treatment facilities, major pipeline and pumping infrastructure, network modelling and design, surface water management solutions, and hydropower developments. We support every stage of the project lifecycle, from earlystage feasibility and strategic studies through to outline and detailed design, construction support, and final handover. Our clients span the majority of UK water authorities, government bodies, and private-sector organisations both domestically and internationally. In this role, you will bring your technical expertise and leadership to a diverse range of strategic and design projects, typically acting as Design Lead or Project Manager. You'll play a key role in shaping solutions, guiding multidisciplinary teams, and delivering highquality outcomes for our clients. Key responsibilities and duties include: • Working across a number of different UK water authorities, • Leading multi-disciplinary design teams in project delivery, • Project management duties, including programme and financial management for small to medium sized projects, • Provide direct input into projects with minimal supervision. Director - HV Cable System Design Jacobs is playing a leading role in the global energy transition. As our UK and Continental Europe team continues to expand, we are seeking a Principal Cable System Engineer to support a range of high-profile projects across our Power & Energy portfolio. This includes high voltage AIS and GIS Substations, transmission system assets, HVDC interconnectors, and energy storage systems. You will lead the design delivery for Cable System Projects up to 400kV, from the tendering stage through to project handover. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Developing HV/EHV cabling systems specifications, concept/detailed design and design review, estimation, site supervision and support as required., • Provide technical support to the team on all aspects of HV cable system engineering and design, • Prepare plant and equipment technical specification, power cable route specifications, tender specifications, technical and progress reports, • Ensuring correct and accurate interface with other engineering functions involved in the projects, attend, and conduct internal and external meetings with colleagues, clients, and subcontractors., • Perform technical calculations including cable size, rating calculations, TMF and EMF calculations, Sheath induced voltage calculations and other., • Perform design reviews, verification of design, • Ensuring all project designs are compliant with CDM regulations, relevant legislation and company procedures, • Assist with temporary works design schemes., • Maintain good working relations with client / designer / Team, together with our supply chain., • Ensure that the drawings and specification documents contain sufficient, accurate information for construction of the works.
