Legal Coordinator / Legal Administrator Location: Reading (Fully office-based, Monday to Friday)Salary: £35,000 + excellent benefitsHours: 35 hours per week (early finish Fridays) About the Role A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a highly organised and detail-focused Legal Coordinator / Legal Administrator to join a global, well-established business in Reading. This role sits within a small, collaborative legal function and offers the chance to work closely with an experienced Legal Counsel, supporting on a wide range of contract-related and administrative tasks. This is not a heavily technical legal role, and full training will be provided. It is ideally suited to someone who thrives in a structured environment, enjoys working with documentation, and takes pride in accuracy and organisation. Key Responsibilities • Managing and coordinating the contract lifecycle process from receipt through to signature, • Reviewing, formatting, and preparing contracts such as NDAs and standard agreements, • Ensuring contracts are accurate, compliant, and completed within deadlines, • Supporting the Legal Counsel with document preparation and research tasks, • Maintaining contract databases and ensuring records are kept up to date, • Assisting with company secretarial activities including board packs and documentation, • Managing incoming queries and liaising with internal stakeholders across departments, • Providing general administrative support including filing, tracking, and document control About You • Previous experience in an administrative or coordination role (legal experience is beneficial but not essential), • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy – this is critical for success in the role, • Highly organised, methodical, and process-driven, • Comfortable working in a role that can involve repetitive tasks and structured processes, • Strong communication skills with the confidence to liaise across teams, • Proactive, motivated, and eager to learn, • Able to manage priorities effectively and meet deadlines The Opportunity This role offers: • The opportunity to gain exposure to a legal environment without needing prior legal experience, • Full training and support from an experienced Legal Counsel, • A stable, long-term position within a global organisation, • A friendly, collaborative team culture with a strong focus on employee retention, • Excellent work-life balance with a 35-hour working week and early Friday finishes Benefits • Competitive salary up to £35,000, • Final salary pension scheme (rare benefit), • Private medical insurance (tax benefit only), • Share scheme with company matching, • 25 days holiday + increasing with service, • On-site parking, • Modern office environment with strong team culture Important Consideration This role is best suited to individuals looking for a long-term administrative career within a legal environment, rather than a stepping stone into a legal qualification or solicitor pathway.
