Responsibilities: As the Commercial Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include: Lead the financial review and challenge of business cases (e.g. new customer contracts, tenders, pricing investments, new product launches and capex), including post-investment reviews to track ROI delivered against plan. Strategically and tactically support the Sales team across all sectors, end-to-end on areas such as accurate pricing, maximising Return on Investment, accurate forecasting, Finance support in tenders, contract review, trade terms management, and customer joint business plan meetings. Drive profitability, growth and cash improvement with a customer and product lens by working with the Head of Business Insights and Head of Finance, to identify key trends and actions with these channels. For larger tenders also working with the CFO and CEO. Lead regular finance and sales performance reviews to drive accountability, efficiency and clear communication. Promote cross-functional working to build a balanced customer, cost and cash-focused culture. Deliver sales analytics, including price/volume/mix, customer and product profitability and promotional effectiveness, and develop timely, accurate, insight-driven commercial reporting and Power BI dashboards. Working with the Head of Business Insights, own the Sales month-end commentary, providing a clear understanding of business sales performance and outlook. Prepare the Executive KPI report, bringing together key metrics from across all departments, summarising performance and highlighting key changes and trends for the Executive team. Build a working technical understanding of each department's KPIs to sense-check the data and explain key movements. Champion data literacy and self-serve reporting (Excel, Power BI) across the commercial team, promoting continuous improvement throughout Delice. Own landed product cost modelling as part of the product journey, keeping product costs accurate and analysing variances to inform pricing and margin decisions. Support the Strategic Sector Pricing Strategy for Delice working closely with the Channel Team, Sales Operations Director, President and Marketing. Work with the Head of Business Insights, Chief Financial Officer, President and the Sales Operations Director to understand how market insights can be used with pricing tactical strategies to gain market share. Evaluate new financing and business model opportunities to increase market penetration for Delice de France. To manage and implement all aspects of the commercial and operational processes through knowledge, interpretation and optimisation of existing and future agreements, in a way that provides best value for the QatarEnergy LNG N(2) project and the Incremental Capacity at the South Hook Terminal. The job holder, in conjunction with other Executives, is responsible for the contract management activities relating to the purchase of LNG, sale of gas, sale of capacity and provision of terminal services. In addition, the post holder will also be responsible for scheduling and optimising LNG delivery into and gas send out from the South Hook gas terminal which accounts for up to 20% of the UK gas demand. Financial responsibility The value of gas managed within the schedule amounts to up to £5.8 billion per annum and the post holder can impact this value significantly. People management No direct reports. • Discuss and agree changes in the upstream / downstream schedule., • Interpretation of contracts., • Develops analytical tools to support pricing and risk functions., • Identifies, negotiates, drafts and implements new customer and vendor agreements and changes to current agreements to maximise value., • Responsible for the efficient and timely management of the contracts as the key contract expert., • Develops and prepares strategies for resolution of any disputes., • Prepares and proposes scheduling and optimisation guidelines to add value, reduce cost and, • mitigate risk., • Manages the Gas and LNG delivery schedules and operational programmes in accordance with the guidelines., • Scoping and development of new and existing complex scheduling models., • Ensures systems are in place to efficiently manage the schedule taking into account the contractual constraints from sellers, buyers and the terminal., • Negotiates and supervises contracts with LNG and gas counterparties., • Performs and interprets analysis on contractual performance and scenario development., • Provides analytical support and expertise to assist delivery risk management and provide input to strategic decision making., • Supports development of regulatory and gas transporter positions and develops strategies for, • optimising system entry capacity., • Identifies spare capacity to create 3rd party business, communicating as appropriate., • Provides on-call 24-hour cover to manage unforeseen circumstances., • Develops complex modelling techniques to support assessment of pricing methodologies to, • competitively value products to sell., • Research, interpret and analyse UK gas data to inform business decisions and manage market risks. Proposes and implements changes to optimise the annual programmes. Proposes commercial products and advises on contract design. Develops, maintains and operates business processes and systems to ensure and demonstrate non-discrimination in dealing with customers. Developing new analytical models, determine appropriate use of methodologies to value products for sale and interpreting market data. Internal: Maintains effective working relationships inside the company. External: Represents South Hook Gas across a broad range of external stakeholders.
