    Shift Leader - Wood Wharf Wood Wharf 14 Water St, Building D1/D2, London, E14 5GX, UNITED KINGDOM £16.62/hour Part Time The role Crate Wood Wharf is our newest venue, and we're looking for a Shift Leader to help keep it running at its best. This is the job that holds a shift together. You'll be on the floor and behind the bar, making sure service flows, guests are looked after, and the team has what it needs to do their best work. You're the link between the team and senior leaders: the person who spots the problem before it becomes one, and the one people come to when something needs sorting. We're after someone who is open, honest, straight-talking, and genuinely good with people. What you'll be doing Looking after guests • Bar service, greeting people as they arrive and come to the bar, • Talking people through the menu and making recommendations where needed, • Running pizzas to tables in good time, • Handling questions and complaints properly, including when a manager isn't on site, • Being an ambassador for Crate whenever you're on site Running the shift • Overseeing service so it flows, with the right people in the right roles, • Organising breaks, • Escalating what needs escalating, eg staff disputes, guest complaints, quality concerns, • Keeping the venue looking and feeling its best: layout, lighting, music, temperature, • Staying calm and methodical throughout service Standards and safety • Being the eyes and ears of the team, flagging developing risk situations to a manager or security, • Toilet checks and tidies, back of house, staff areas and waste management, • Correct stock storage and beer lines kept to the highest standard, • Reporting and chasing maintenance issues quickly Opening and closing • Opening up and having the venue ready to welcome guests by 12:00, • Printing and completing the paperwork: Opening Briefs, Toilet Checklists, Close Down Sheets, Waste Sheets, compliance diary, • Opening the EOD system and writing an accurate End of Day report for your shift, • Checking everyone has clocked in and out, • Assigning and signing off closing tasks, • Logging lost property in the EOD report and securing it, • Ensuring the building is secure on close What we're looking for • Experience leading shifts or supervising in a busy bar, pub or restaurant, • Someone who'd rather deal with a problem than pass it on, • Real interest in beer and drinks, and the appetite to learn our range properly, • Confidence handling a complaint or a difficult guest on your own, • Availability across a variable rota, including evenings and weekends What you get • Free staff meal and a drink on shift, plus staff soft drinks, • Generous staff discount across the whole company - bars and online shop, • Summer and winter whole-company staff parties, • Cycle to work bicycle loan scheme, • Career development opportunities, • Employee assistance programme Apply Hit apply and answer a few short questions.     We are looking for a proactive, organised and reliable support worker to join a supported accommodation team. The role focuses on supporting residents to develop greater independence, maintaining safe and well-managed accommodation, and keeping accurate records. Resident support • Conduct regular face-to-face support sessions with allocated residents., • Complete and review Individual Support Plans and Support & Move-On Plans within required timescales., • Maintain accurate support logs and electronic resident records., • Help residents develop independent living and life skills, including budgeting and financial management., • Assist with Housing Benefit and Universal Credit matters, rent arrears and benefit issues where required., • Support residents with education, training, employment, housing and move-on options., • Encourage residents to engage with agreed support plans., • Identify safeguarding or welfare concerns and escalate them appropriately., • Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality. Property and accommodation • Carry out regular checks of allocated properties, including communal, internal and external areas., • Identify and report repairs, maintenance issues, property damage and health and safety concerns., • Follow up reported repairs and liaise with the maintenance team regarding outstanding works., • Check that rubbish is managed and that fire exits, escape routes and communal areas remain clear., • Check that required property and fire safety signage is displayed., • Assist with move-in and move-out checks, including checking furniture, equipment and other property items., • Take photographs and record evidence of property issues where required., • Keep property inspection and maintenance records up to date., • Report compliance concerns promptly to management. Administration and communication • Update internal trackers and databases., • Ensure support documentation is completed accurately and within required timescales., • Monitor outstanding actions and follow them through to completion., • Communicate effectively with management, administration and other members of the support team.
