On behalf of a leading accounting practice. We're recruiting for a talented Personal Tax Assistant to join one of our leading clients in the North East. About the role: We are looking for a motivated and detail-focused professional to join our Tax Compliance team. In this role, you’ll support clients by managing the preparation and submission of personal and partnership tax returns. You’ll also contribute to upcoming digital tax initiatives, guiding clients through the shift to digital record-keeping and more frequent reporting requirements. Responsibilities: • Prepare and submit accurate personal and partnership tax returns., • Support clients in transitioning to digital tax reporting systems., • Liaise with clients to gather necessary information and provide guidance on tax compliance., • Maintain accurate records and ensure deadlines are consistently met., • Collaborate with the senior leadership team and wider Tax Compliance team to deliver high-quality service., • Participate in team development activities and contribute to a positive working environment. Requirements: • At least two years’ experience working in personal tax within an accountancy firm or a similar professional setting., • Holding, or working towards, an ACA/ATT or equivalent tax qualification (study support can be provided)., • Excellent organisational abilities with strong attention to detail., • Clear and confident communication skills with a strong focus on client service., • Good working knowledge of Excel; familiarity with Xero is an advantage but not essential., • Able to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
