New Opportunity - Engineering Key Account Manager Our client is looking for a Key Account Manager to support continued growth across the rapidly evolving energy sector. This role will focus on developing new sales opportunities and strengthening customer relationships across markets including Gas Turbine, Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Carbon Capture, Hydrogen Generation and Storage, Waste-to-X, Power Grid, and Renewable Heating. Working closely with engineering, project, and commercial teams, you will play a key role in delivering tailored equipment solutions, driving sustainable business growth, and ensuring excellent customer outcomes. Experience selling engineered equipment or technical solutions into one or more of these sectors is essential. As the new Key Account Manager, you will: Achieve order intake targets while supporting overall Group Sales objectives Manage and develop relationships with key customers across energy sector markets including Gas Turbine, Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Carbon Capture, Hydrogen, Waste-to-X, Power Grid and Renewable Heating Contribute to business planning and strategy to support sustainable, profitable growth Gather customer forecasts and present insights to senior management and the board Attend and support customer meetings in the UK and internationally Review and interpret customer specifications, drawings, and technical standards Understand customer requirements and propose suitable technical solutions or alternatives Prepare technical documentation and coordinate internal and external cost estimates Produce high-quality proposals and bid documentation that clearly communicate technical and commercial offers Work closely with engineering, project management, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure project requirements are delivered effectively Maintain the CRM system to track leads, sales activity, and support business planning Support marketing initiatives, new business development, and customer acquisition Contribute to product development, cost-reduction initiatives, and continuous improvement Ensure deadlines are met while maintaining high standards of delivery and customer satisfaction Conduct site surveys and support technical reporting when required Essential Experience & Skills Minimum 3 years' experience in: Key Account Management or Engineering / Applications positions in gas turbine, pressure vessel, heat exchanger, piping, storage tank, modular skid, or acoustic/filtration sectors Knowledge of the UK & EU market and working practices Experience in Engineering / Manufacturing Demonstrable track record of account management success Experience selling one or more of the following: Pressure Vessels Heat Exchangers (preferably Shell & Tube) Piping Storage Tanks Modular Skids Acoustic and Filtration Equipment for Gas Turbines Degree level qualification - Essential: Engineering, or Manufacturing qualification to Diploma level or equivalent Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work out of hours to support customer needs Full UK driving licence Willingness and ability to travel in the UK and internationally Current UK resident Desirable Skills & Knowledge Degree-level qualification (preferably 2:1 or above) Good understanding of general engineering principles Understanding of manufacturing processes for fabricated and integrated products Analytical, creative, problem-solving mindset Strong team player, self-motivated, and able to work independently Commercial awareness Flexible and adaptable under pressure Strong organizational and mathematical skills About this position: Competitive Salary from £45,000 (Depending on experience) Bonus Scheme Opportunities to progress in a positive working environment.
