Site Engineer\n\nBasingstoke, Hampshire | Permanent | £45,000 – £50,000 [DOE]\n\nWe are currently representing a leading civil engineering and infrastructure contractor delivering key water and wastewater infrastructure schemes across the South as part of a long-term Thames Water framework. Due to continued growth within the utilities sector, they are looking to appoint an experienced Site Engineer to support the delivery of major infrastructure and developer services projects in Hampshire.\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor delivering complex water infrastructure works, including sewer installations, drainage infrastructure, utility diversions, pipelines, and associated heavy civils packages.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs Site Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure works on site, ensuring engineering activities are carried out safely, accurately, and in line with programme requirements. You will be involved in setting out, quality assurance, subcontractor coordination, and supporting the wider delivery team across sewer infrastructure and associated civils packages.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nSetting out for sewer infrastructure, drainage, pipelines, and associated civils works in accordance with design drawings \n\t\nSupporting the day-to-day delivery of utilities and infrastructure operations on site \n\t\nEnsuring works are carried out in line with quality, safety, and environmental standards \n\t\nCoordinating with subcontractors, utilities teams, and site operatives \n\t\nAssisting with QA documentation, inspections, and as-built records \n\t\nMonitoring progress against programme and reporting updates to the project team \n\t\nResolving technical queries and liaising with the design team where required \n\t\nSupporting delivery of manholes, sewer upgrades, utility diversions, and associated infrastructure works \n\nProject Overview\n\nThe works form part of a major water infrastructure framework supporting upgrades to existing wastewater networks and new residential developments across Hampshire.\n\nWorks include:\n\nConstruction of new sewer infrastructure and associated manholes \n\t\nUpgrades and capacity improvements to existing sewer networks \n\t\nDrainage and wastewater infrastructure enhancements \n\t\nUtility and developer services infrastructure works \n\t\nSupporting future residential development and improving resilience across the existing network \n\nRequirements\n\nPrevious experience working as a Site Engineer within water infrastructure, utilities, or heavy civils \n\t\nExperience on sewer infrastructure, drainage, pipelines, utility diversions, or wastewater projects \n\t\nStrong setting out and technical engineering understanding \n\t\nAbility to work effectively within a busy site team environment \n\t\nExperience coordinating subcontractors and ensuring quality delivery on site \n\nEssential Qualifications\n\nDegree / HNC / HND in Civil Engineering or related discipline \n\t\nCSCS Card \n\nDesirable\n\nSMSTS \n\t\nTemporary Works Coordinator (TWC) \n\t\nEUSR National Water Hygiene \n\t\nPrevious experience working on utilities or water infrastructure frameworks \n\nWhy Apply\n\nJoin a leading contractor delivering major water infrastructure schemes \n\t\nLong-term permanent opportunity with strong career progression \n\t\nCompetitive salary of £45,000 – £50,000 DOE \n\t\nCompany pension and additional benefits package \n\t\nOpportunity to work on complex wastewater and infrastructure projects across the South \n\nIf you’re interested, apply now.
