A National defence housing contractor with projects right across the UK and in this case dotted around the South West of England are seeking a couple of full time QS's with a solid background with Schedule of Rates ideally within the Social Housing sector .On offer;Up to 60K - 65K per annum6% employee matched pension contribution25 days annual leaveSingle private medical coverCompany car/Car allowance (allowance is £3600)1 x professional subscription per yearLife assurance 2x annual salaryRole:To accurately scope/measure and price Voids and Reactive Repairs; unique knowledge and implementation of NHF; assure compliance with contract conditions.Accurately scope and price voids using the NHF schedulesEnsuring Value for money for the clientDevelop and maintain an excellent working relationship with Client personnel involved directly or indirectly with the contractProvide business support to the Commercial Group. This will involve proactively facilitating our relationship with both internal and external customers by ensuring the completion of necessary commercial reports and documentationDeal directly with internal and external customers and where appropriate direct them to the appropriate contact or department to solve their queriesLiaise with all staff including Area Managers, Site Managers and Void Scoping SupervisorsComply with the Organisation's Equality and Diversity PolicyCommercially:Deliver Change Management in accordance with the FDIS Contract ensuring timescales are met by all relevant stakeholdersManagement and resolution of queries submitted by Supply Chain regarding Core Services pricingMaintain commercial control to ensure planned milestone payments are achieved, final accounts are closed to meet the business targetsMonitor and review Supply Chain performanceManage supplier payments in line with contractual and company policyAssist in the development and implementation of commercial risk management proceduresAttend meetings, provide reports and liaise with all stakeholders on commercial mattersAssist Principle Commercial Manager in monitoring and presenting monthly cost reports as requiredEnsure Core and Additional Services are priced and managed in line with contract requirements delivering value for money at all timesCarry out adjudications for Additional Services as per delegated authorityExperience:Commercial experience in construction, property maintenance or related field including:Developing cost modelsRisk Analysis & Management, Preparation of work proposals/tender, Dispute resolution, Excellent working knowledge of commercial processesStrong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skillsFraud preventionAbility to build and maintain excellent working relationships and a collaborative working environmentTPBN1_UKTJ
