Job Title: NDT X-Ray Technician (Level II)Sector: Aerospace & ManufacturingSalary: £45,234.17 per annum (Includes 17% Shift Premium)Location: Sheffield, South YorkshireContract: Full-Time / Permanent – 3 Shift Pattern (Morning, Afternoon and Night)Are you a Level II X-Ray Technician looking for long-term stability within a structured aerospace environment? Due to continued growth and programme demand, we are recruiting an experienced NDT X-Ray Technician to join their established Radiography department on a permanent basis.This role would suit someone who values working within a compliance-led environment where standards are clear, documentation is controlled and quality is embedded into daily operations.Job Purpose: To carry out radiographic non-destructive testing on aerospace components, ensuring all products meet strict customer, regulatory and internal quality standards. You will understand the products, equipment setup and NDT operations, working within a highly regulated and audit-ready environment.Duties & Responsibilities: • Work with X-Ray generating equipment., • Set up, operate and calibrate all X-Ray equipment., • Review routers, procedures, specifications and technical documentation., • Carry out radiographic testing in line with EN4179 / NAS410 standards., • Process radiographic films and/or digital outputs., • Interpret, evaluate and report inspection results., • Identify weld discontinuities and assess against specification., • Generate new and amended NDT Data Cards for Level III approval., • Maintain accurate and traceable inspection documentation., • Assist with equipment maintenance and process control checks., • Follow and promote Health & Safety practices at all times. Once training is completed, you will move onto the 3-shift rotation.About You:, • Hold or previously have held EN4179 / NAS410 Level II X-Ray certification (essential)., • Experience working within an aerospace Radiography department., • Confident operating and calibrating X-Ray equipment., • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications., • Familiarity with AS9100 and NADCAP environments would be advantageous., • Strong attention to detail and a methodical working approach., • Comfortable working both independently and within a team.
