Miryco Consultants are working with a leading health insurance provider to recruit two experienced Market Pricing Managers to lead the development and delivery of pricing strategies across Individual and SME health insurance portfolios. This pivotal role will see you shaping the pricing direction, driving model optimisation, and ensuring competitive yet sustainable pricing in a dynamic market environment. You’ll lead a talented pricing team, guiding the evolution of models, frameworks, and analytical approaches that balance growth and profitability. Responsibilities • Lead the SME health insurance pricing strategy, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives and market positioning., • Oversee the design, enhancement, and optimisation of pricing and rating models to support volume and value goals., • Review and challenge behavioural, demand, and market models to ensure accuracy, compliance, and performance., • Monitor model outcomes and initiate timely adjustments to maintain competitiveness and financial integrity., • Embed fair value principles within pricing decisions, maintaining strong governance and documentation standards., • Validate and refine lifetime value frameworks, ensuring robust assumptions and effective performance tracking., • Develop and mentor pricing analysts, building technical, analytical, and commercial expertise within the team., • Collaborate effectively with functions such as Product, Distribution, Finance, and Compliance to deliver cohesive pricing solutions. Skills & Experience • Strong expertise in retail and SME pricing data and modelling, including GLMs and machine learning techniques (e.g. GBMs)., • Proven experience in price optimisation, actuarial analysis, and understanding of P&L dynamics within insurance., • Advanced proficiency with pricing software (e.g. Radar) and data-driven decision-making tools., • Demonstrated leadership ability, fostering collaboration, innovation, and capability development within a pricing team., • In-depth understanding of regulatory frameworks and governance standards in the UK insurance sector., • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across functions., • Degree (2:1 or above) in mathematics, statistics, or related discipline; actuarial qualification or progression desirable., • Proactive, commercially astute, and results-oriented, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and delivery.
