You will drive exceptional guest experience, lead a high-performing management team, and take ownership of the hotels commercial and financial performance. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role requiring strong operational knowledge, commercial acumen, and the ability to balance service excellence with profitability and compliance. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential. Key Responsibilities Guest Experience & Brand Standards Champion a guest-first culture across all departments Ensure consistently high standards across rooms, food & beverage, housekeeping, and front-of-house Personally manage and resolve complex guest issues, driving positive reviews and repeat business Use guest feedback to continuously improve service delivery Operations Management Oversee all day-to-day hotel operations, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance Conduct regular audits and inspections to uphold operational excellence People Leadership & Development Recruit, lead, and develop a high-performing management and front-line team Drive engagement, retention, and performance through structured training, coaching, and 1:1s Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture where leaders are supported and developed Commercial & Financial Performance Take full ownership of revenue, cost control, and profitability Deliver against agreed revenue, GOP, and EBITDA targets Monitor occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR, adjusting strategy in line with demand and competitor activity Collaborate on sales and marketing initiatives to maximise commercial performance Legal Compliance & Governance Ensure full compliance with UK legislation including Licensing, Health & Safety, Fire Safety, Food Hygiene, GDPR, and Employment Law Act as Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS) where applicable Maintain robust controls over cash handling, stock management, payroll, and reporting What Were Looking For Proven experience as a Hotel General Manager or established Deputy GM within a UK hotel environment Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering financial results Confident leader with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop diverse teams Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Highly organised, detail-focused, and operationally confident Hands-on, flexible, and comfortable leading from the front Above all, youll be people-driven, commercially sharp, and committed to building sustainable, high-performing teams.
