Assistant Manager - Build-to-Rent\n\nLocation: Salford\n Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 \n Hours: 45 hours per week\n Contract: Full-time, Permanent\n\nThe Opportunity\n\nI'm currently working with a well-established and growing operator within the Build-to-Rent and living sectors who are looking to appoint an Assistant Manager for one of their flagship residential developments in MediaCity.\n\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to step into (or further develop within) the BTR space, joining a collaborative on-site team and gaining exposure across operations, leasing, resident experience, and compliance.\n\nYou'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of a modern, amenity-led building, while helping to create a vibrant and engaging resident community.\n\nThe Role\n\nWorking closely with senior on-site leadership, you will support the overall performance of the building, ensuring a high standard of service delivery and operational excellence.\n\nThis is a hands-on, varied position where no two days are the same-ideal for someone who enjoys both front-of-house interaction and behind-the-scenes coordination.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nSupporting the full resident journey, from initial enquiry through to move-in and ongoing tenancy\nAssisting with leasing activity, including viewings and converting enquiries\nActing as a key point of contact for residents, delivering a high level of customer service\nCoordinating day-to-day operations to ensure smooth running of the building\nSupporting rent collection, invoicing, and basic financial administration\nAssisting with health & safety compliance and maintaining accurate records\nWorking alongside maintenance teams to manage PPM and reactive works\nSupporting resident engagement initiatives, including events and community-building activities\nAssisting with social media and marketing initiatives to drive occupancy and engagement\nSupporting efficient move-in and move-out processes\n\nAbout You\n\nExperience in property, Build-to-Rent, PBSA, hospitality, or a similar customer-focused environment\nStrong customer service skills with a resident-first mindset\nHighly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities\nConfident communicator, both face-to-face and in writing\nProactive, hands-on, and solutions-focused\nA team player with a strong sense of ownership and accountability\nBasic understanding of financial processes (rent collection, invoicing, etc.) is beneficial\nCompetent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)\n\nWhy Apply?\n\nOpportunity to join a growing and reputable operator within the living sector\nExposure to all aspects of BTR operations and resident experience\nClear scope for progression and career development\nWork within a modern, amenity-rich residential environment\nBe part of building a genuine community, not just managing a building
