Job title: Engineering Geologist Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 Bristol Are you an Engineering Geologist looking to join a well-established consultancy working on a diverse range of ground investigation and infrastructure projects across the South West? Are you looking for a geotechnical and geoenvironmental consultancy in Bristol that is looking to grow its technical team? This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to both site-based and office-based work, with clear progression and strong technical support. The Role: • Supervise and carry out site investigations, including logging soils and rock to BS5930, • Manage ground investigation works, including trial pits, boreholes, and gas & groundwater monitoring, • Liaise with clients, contractors, and laboratories, • Prepare factual and interpretative reports, • Support geotechnical and geoenvironmental assessments, • Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or similar, • Previous experience in ground investigation or engineering geology (graduate to intermediate level considered), • Good understanding of UK ground investigation standards, • Strong communication and report-writing skills, • Competitive salary depending on experience, • Company vehicle or car allowance, • Clear progression pathway and ongoing training, • Support towards Chartership (GeolSoc / ICE), • Friendly, supportive team environment

Project Quantity Surveyor - Energy - South West - c£50-£55k + generous package Sites are Solar Farms in Cardiff, Swansea and Exeter QS needed to oversee three large Solar Farm projects; 2 x £30m, 1 x £45m. You will be expected to visit each site every week. Working with the Project Managers, you will run the commercials for each site, understand spend and advise accordingly, troubleshooting any issues as they arise, for example any below ground problems (encountering rock) You will manage the packages of work, dealing with internal staff and any subcontractors and you will need to be onsite to do valuations and forecasts at the end of the month You will be a QS who is used to working on high value projects, preferably with a main contractor with strong emphasis on contractual terms.
