Job Title: Senior Project Manager Location: Farnborough Salary: £DOE Key Skills: Project Management, Bids, Proposals, Engineering, Manufacturing, Safety, Hazards, Projects, Programmes, Stakeholder Management The Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support the delivery of a high-value portfolio of projects. This portfolio forms a critical part of the business, focusing on the assessment of high-hazard weapons, munitions, and energetics through live testing and the generation of assurance-based evidence. This is a highly visible role where you will lead complex, safety-critical projects, working at the interface of operations, engineering, and programme delivery to ensure activities are conducted safely, effectively, and in line with customer expectations. Key Responsibilities • Lead cross-functional project teams, • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and suppliers, • Deliver projects to agreed baselines across time, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction, • Maintain accurate financial and resource forecasts aligned to delivery expectations, • Ensure adherence to governance frameworks, including lifecycle and assurance reviews, • Contribute to bid activity and opportunity development, supporting future growth, • Provide clear and consistent reporting to programme and portfolio leadership What will you bring: • Proven experience delivering complex projects, programmes, or portfolios, • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence, align, and motivate teams, • Excellent communication skills, able to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management, including customer-facing roles, • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution capability, • Regular travel to customer sites (including Bristol and other UK locations) is required, • This role operates within a highly regulated, safety-critical defence environment You will be part of a team delivering critical assurance activities that directly support national defence capability.
